Women's tennis notches three All-Big South honors

BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Campbell women's tennis has earned three Big South All-Conference honors, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore Alexandra Andrivot has been named First Team All-Conference in singles, while she and Isabel Boada have earned Second Team honors in doubles. Boada represents CU on the all-academic team to round out all-conference awards for the Camels.

Andrivot led the team with 11 singles wins this spring, playing all of her matches at the No. 1 flight in her first season with the Fighting Camels. The Peymeinade, France native's best stretch of the season came from March 3-21 where she earned six-straight victories, including five in a row over conference opponents. Andrivot was the only Camel to earn a Big South weekly honor this spring as she was named the Big South Player of the Week on March 22.

Andrivot and Boada had the most success in doubles play for CU, notching a team-high 10 wins this season with a 4-2 record in Big South play to earn Second Team honors. The duo is currently riding a four-match win streak and has won seven of its last nine contests headed into the Big South Championship.

Boada also represents Campbell on the conference's all-academic team. The sophomore from La Paz, Bolivia majors in Business Administration and currently holds an impressive 3.86 GPA.

The Campbell women will be the 6-seed this weekend in the Big South Women's Tennis Championship. CU will take on the third-seeded Liberty Flames on Friday, April 21 in a Big South quarterfinal matchup. For the most up-to-date information on Campbell tennis, follow @GoCamelsTennis on Twitter.
