Juhasz advances to 100m hurdles quarterfinal Friday at NCAA East Regional

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Lilla Juhasz posted a season-best time of 13.47 in the first round of the women's 100m hurdles Friday afternoon at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Complex. The Rabapaty, Hungary native placed T-20 in the preliminary field to advance to the quarterfinals, set for Saturday night at approximately 7:05 p.m.

Shortly after Juhasz's performance, Shenelle McKay represented CU in the women's high jump. The Campbell alumna from Kingston, Jamaica cleared a mark of 1.64m on her second attempt to place T-42nd overall in the Regional field.

Juhasz will compete alongside four Campbell teammates Saturday, the final day of the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds. Starting at 3 p.m., Davian Rhodes will compete in flight 1 of the men's high jump. Reigning Big South Most Outstanding Women's Field Performer Sabina Allen will participate in flight 1 of the women's triple jump. The Kenyan duo of Amon Kemboi and Amon Terer will race the men's 5,000m semifinal in Campbell's final event of the Regional meet.
